AMMAN — Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Bisher Al Khasawneh on Tuesday stressed the importance of providing citizens with the best services and facilitating visitor procedures away from bureaucratic complications.

During a visit to the Greater Amman Municipality (GAM), Khasawhneh met with its mayor, Yousef Shawarbeh, and praised GAM’s projects in electronic transformation.

Khasawneh highlighted that the projects help expedite transactions in one of the biggest institutions with direct contact to citizens, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The premier said that GAM plays a major role in shaping the ideal environment for investors. He noted that countries that have attracted investments and achieved private sector satisfaction have similar characteristics to Jordan.

Shawarbeh said that the e-transformation project has cancelled more than 350 bureaucratic procedures.

The mayor also added that the two routes of the Bus Rapid Transit project are expected to be ready for operation by the year’s end.
