Meydan Hotels & Hospitality has appointed Ziad Sleiman as the new executive assistant manager – operations at Bab Al Shams Desert Resort & Spa in Dubai.

The Lebanese national started his professional career in 1999 and brings more than 20 years of experience in the hospitality sector to his new role.

“With great skills in hotel operational management, wealth of experience in luxury hotel management and excellent record in delivering innovative strategies and results, Ziad is the right candidate for this role aiming to further maintain premium position of Bab Al Shams Desert Resort & Spa in the region,” said Reuben Mifsud, cluster general manager, Meydan Hotels & Hospitality.

In his role, Sleiman will manage all aspects of the resort’s operations, its food and beverage service and culinary departments. Furthermore, he will oversee the hotel’s in-room dining, banquet food and beverage operations in addition to eight restaurants and lounges, including award-winning desert restaurant Al Hadheerah, authentic Northern Indian restaurant Masala, international all-day dining Al Forsan, award-winning Al Sarab Rooftop Lounge, traditional Italian outlet Le Dune, Ya Hala Lobby Lounge and the Pool Bar.
