Company plans to add 50 more showrooms in 2018

Malabar Gold & Diamonds has opened 11 new showrooms across six countries, including Qatar, on the same day.
With Friday’s openings, the leading jeweller now has a total of 208 outlets spread across nine countries.
The new showrooms in Qatar are located at Mall of Qatar and Lagoona Mall.
The MGD – Lifestyle Jewellery outlet at Mall of Qatar was inaugurated by Sheikh Saleh bin Abdullah bin al-Thani and in the presence of management team members of Malabar Gold & Diamonds and other dignitaries, the jeweller said in a press statement.

The new showrooms are located at Muscat City Centre in Oman, AMK Hub in Singapore, Ampang Mall in Malaysia, Warrangal in Telangana, India, and Al Khail Mall, Al Hazana LuLu, Al Buhaira LuLu, Sahara Centre and Ajman City Centre in the UAE. Indian actor Anil Kapoor inaugurated the outlet at Hazana LuLu, Sharjah, in the presence of M P Ahammed, chairman – Malabar Group; Shamlal Ahammed M P, managing director — International Operations, Malabar Gold & Diamonds; K P Abdul Salam, Group executive director – Malabar Group; Mayinkutty C, senior director – Malabar Group; directors and management team members of Malabar Gold & Diamonds, other dignitaries, well-wishers and guests.
He also attended the event celebrating the journey of opening 200 showrooms worldwide.
This is for the first time that an Indian jewellery retailer has opened such a large number of showrooms spread across six nations in a single day, the statement noted, adding that the company plans to add 50 more showrooms in 2018.
“We are getting wide acceptance in the global marketplace. Our core business values such as adherence to transparency, honesty, quality along with our value-added services, product designs that are suited to every class of customers’ taste cutting across age group are the key factors that give us global acceptance.
In 2018, we will be opening more showrooms as well as manufacturing units.
This will fuel our vision to become the top jewellery retailer in the world,” said M P Ahammed.
