AMMAN — The Jordan Enterprise Development Corporation (JEDCO) and Mutah University on Saturday signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at providing assistance to entrepreneurs and small-and medium-sized enterprises in the southern region.

The MoU was signed by Bashar Zu’bi, CEO of JEDCO and President of Mutah University Arafat Awajan, according to a JEDCO statement.

Zu’bi said that the partnership came as per efforts to support entrepreneurs and develop small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and promote a culture of entrepreneurship.

Zu’bi said that JEDCO is working to establish ways for effective and organised cooperation with the university to support entrepreneurs and SMEs operating in the service, industrial and agricultural sectors in the southern region.

Awajan praised the efforts exerted by JEDCO and its role in supporting entrepreneurs and developing local SMEs

Under the agreement, JEDCO will assist Karak’s Mutah University in securing funding from donors to implement feasible projects in the southern governorate.
