AMMAN — The Jordan Customs Department (JCD) and the Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce launched the electronic platform with the aim to facilitate the flow of goods to and from Jordan.

The connection also aims to exchange information, documents and certificates of origin electronically between Jordan and Brazil, according to a JCD statement on Wednesday.

JCD Director General Maj. Gen. Jalal Qudah stressed that the step is in line with His Majesty King Abdullah’s vision to enhance the partnership between the public and private sectors to create an attractive investment environment.

Tamer Mansour, the chamber secretary general, commended the launch of the e-platform, which will contribute to enhancing exports and imports between the countries. Brazilian Ambassador to Jordan Ruy Amaral attended the event.
