Ajman, UAE: Organised by Ajman Tourism Development Department (ATDD), the Car Boot Sale at Ajman Marina continues to be a great success with a large number of participating vendors and traders attracting a sizeable crowd.

To promote tourism throughout Ajman, ATDD changed the venue for the Car Boot Sale from Festival Land to Ajman Marina. The ideal tourist destination, especially during winter, the Marina includes a variety of restaurants and retail outlets, providing options for the whole family.

HE Saleh Mohamed Al Geziry, ATDD Director General, explained that ATDD is keen to encourage a flow of tourists throughout the Emirate by enhancing events and changing venues. One of Ajman’s innovative offerings, the Car Boot Sale is helping to boost tourism.

Mr Atheer Mufid, Chief Operating Officer at Marsa Properties, which owns and manages the development of the land and projects at Ajman Marina, emphasised that he is eager to cooperate with government departments in the emirate, especially ATDD, which supports the company’s activities. He said that events such as this increase the number of visitors, which is the main goal for any successful retail project.

A British tradition, a Car Boot Sale is similar to a flea market. Vendors display a variety of discounted second-hand products including clothes, books and toys in the boots of their cars in a fun and enjoyable atmosphere. The event started on October 17th 2019 and will be held from 4 pm to 11 pm every Thursday and Friday until May 2020.
