Abu Dhabi: The Tourism Development & Investment Company (TDIC) has awarded the main construction contract for Mamsha Al Saadiyat, the first residential development within the Saadiyat Cultural District, to a joint venture between San Jose Contracting and Pivot Engineering & General Contracting.

The contract is valued at Dh1.25 billion, and the project is scheduled to be delivered in the second half of 2018.

Ali Majed Al Mansouri, TDIC’s Chairman of the Board, said: “We are confident that once completed, it will drive demand for our real estate offerings on Saadiyat even further.”

Work on the development’s foundation has been completed by Nael & Bin Harmal Hydroexport (NBHH), and included excavation, shoring, dewatering and piling works.

Mamsha Al Saadiyat, a 1.4-kilometre beachfront mixed-use project, will offer residents a luxurious beach-inspired lifestyle as well as easy access to diverse retail, dining and entertainment features; minutes from the heart of Abu Dhabi’s future cultural hub, featuring three world-class museums designed by Pritzker Prize-winning architects: Louvre Abu Dhabi, Zayed National Museum and Guggenheim Abu Dhabi.

The development will feature nine low-rise residential buildings with 461 units, of which 414 are apartments ranging from one- to four-bedroom apartments as well as five-bedroom duplex penthouses and 47 town houses.
