Dubai: Audi Al Nabooda Automobiles has inked a strategic alliance with the Dubai Sports Council (DSC) in a bid to support Dubai’s high-profile sporting events throughout the year.
Audi will provide more than 270 cars and drivers to be present at various DSC events through the season, including the Dubai Tour cycling, Destination Dubai BWF Rankings badminton, Samsung Beach Soccer Intercontinental Cup, Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Creative Sports Award and the year-ending Dubai International Sports Conference.
Saeed Hareb, General Secretary, DSC was joined by Ali Saif Al Nabooda, General Manager, Audi Al Nabooda in signing the formal agreement between the two entities yesterday.
“Excellence and creativity are the two factors that stand out between Audi Al Nabooda and Dubai Sports Council. Audi will not only make us feel safe but also give us a distinctive edge at all our high-profile events,” Hareb told Gulf News.
“All this is part of a strategy for the progress of sports in Dubai and the UAE. In the past too Audi Al Nabooda Automobiles have been present at our events in the past, so this partnership is like formalizing a relationship we have already enjoyed since the past few years,” he added.
“We appreciate the contribution and efforts being made by Audi Al Nabooda Automobiles and it would be better if we had similar like-minded corporates to take our sports to an even greater height.”
Al Nabooda affirmed his commitment to the development of the sports sector in the UAE. “Audi has a world-wide presence and we are happy to be of assistance in this march towards growth and progress,” Al Nabooda said.
“We have been working with the Dubai Sports Council since the past few years now, and I can confidently say we will honour our commitment as long as they want it,” he added.
