Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt is looking to implement 691 green projects in fiscal year 2020/2021 at a total cost of EGP 447.3 billion.

About EGP 36.7 billion has been allocated to these projects in the current fiscal year, representing 14% of total public investments, the country’s minister of planning Hala El-Saeed said in a statement on Sunday.

El-Saeed further revealed that green bonds can be used to finance exiting or future projects.

Moreover, the planning minister agreed with the minister of environment Yasmine Fouad on executing 30% of the country’s investment projects in line with the environmental sustainability and green economy standards to be increased to 100% in the coming three years.
