Dubai firm picked for Al Ghurair University redesign

Construction work on the interior and exterior architectural changes for the 20,000m2 facility is due to begin this year.

Sven Muller (SVENM) has been selected to redesign Dubai's Al Ghurair University campus.

The consultancy won a competition held to pick a firm that would redesign the Dubai Academic City campus.

Construction work on the interior and exterior architectural changes for the 20,000m2 facility is due to begin this year.

Founding and managing partner of the eponymous outfit, Sven Muller, said the company carried out "extensive research" before working on the winning design, MEP Middle East reported.

He added: "The proposed spatial environment reflects the university's future–facing ambitions by re-considering the architectural impression of the campus and addressing the needs of its student body."
