DUBAI, 22nd May, 2017 (WAM) -- Dubai Customs has received a delegation from Dubai Municipality, as part of a programme to exchange expertise and enhance cooperation between Dubai government departments.
The delegation was headed by Ahmed Obeid Al Falasi, Assistant Director-General for Corporate Support Sector, and was received by Juma Al Ghaith, Executive Director of Customs Development Division at Dubai Customs, Ahmed Al Yaqoubi, Projects Delivery Director, and a number of heads of departments at the Customs Development Division. Juma Al Ghaith reaffirmed the significance of mutual cooperation and exchange of knowledge and experience between Dubai government departments, saying that Dubai Customs follows the latest international standards in developing its projects following the vision of Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, which aims to make peoples lives easier and enabling their happiness. The visitors were briefed on the methodology followed by Dubai Customs in developing projects. Ahmed Al Yaqoubi talked about the procedures and steps that the Projects Delivery Department at Dubai Customs follows, including needs analysis and benefit specification tools. Best use of resources was also one of the highlighted topics during the visit. The visitors were also briefed on the virtual calculation scheme and the risk engine, and the two parties discussed the possibility of applying this at Dubai Municipality.Copyright Emirates News Agency (WAM) 2017.
