Announcement comes after the Chamber unveiled two major initiatives to enhance competitiveness of the business community

Dubai, UAE: The Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry has announced it will waive late membership fees in an effort to reduce the cost of doing business in Dubai and enhance the competitiveness of the emirate’s private sector.

The move falls in line with the directives of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, which were announced earlier this year and aim to stimulate economic growth in Dubai.

The announcement comes after Dubai Chamber unveiled two major initiatives in recent months to support Dubai’s new economic stimulus plans in line with the directives of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed. Among the new initiatives are plans to coordinate with other government entities to review services and fees with the aim of reducing the cost of doing business in the emirate.

In addition, an advisory board represented by leading international companies has been established by the Chamber to boost the contribution of global companies in shaping the regulatory landscape.

H.E. Hamad Buamim, President and CEO of Dubai Chamber, explained that the fee waiver reflects the Chamber’s strong commitment to protecting the interests of Dubai’s business community and supporting its growth and development.

"By introducing these measures, the Chamber is providing companies with additional flexibility and support, enabling them to benefit from their membership at no additional cost. We expect this move to improve ease of doing business in Dubai and strengthen the emirate’s reputation as a world-class business destination,” said H.E. Buamim.

Dubai Chamber provides many competitive advantages and value-added services to member companies which are designed to enhance efficiency, save time, and reduce business costs. Among the most popular services used by members include ATA Carnets, Certificates of Origin, Document Attestation, Credit Rating, Mediation and Economic and Market Research.

Dubai Chamber members are often invited to participate in trade missions around the world, business matching meetings and high-level networking events and seminars that provide access to growth opportunities and valuable market insights.
