Cairo —   Egyptian angel investment network Cairo Angels on Tuesday has announced starting investment in TransportTech startup Buseet.

Buseet, an Egyptian startup operating in the transport-tech sector in Cairo and Dubai, will use the fresh investment to expand its footprint in the Middle East and North Africa region (MENA), as well as offer further products to its clients.

Cairo Angels chairman Aly El Shalakan said that his company was “very confident that Buseet can compete and continue to deliver a compelling solution to a very real problem that is clearly identifiable across emerging markets and beyond."

Under the partnership, Buseet aims to save efforts and time for car owners that they waste in driving their cars, in addition to improving their experience through trimming the number of traffic and cars, Buseet CEO and co-founder Amr El Sawy noted.

Cairo Angels is an international network that supports startups in Africa, Egypt, and the Middle East. It is part of investments comprising 500 startups from the GCC and Singapore.

Established in 2016, Buseet is the first startup of transport-tech that was launched in the Arab world's most populous country.
