Abu Dhabi, UAE - Ayla Oasis Development Company (AODC), one of the largest tourism and real estate development companies in the Kingdom of Jordan, participated in the 10th anniversary celebrations of the Jordanian Businessmen Council in the emirate of Abu Dhabi.
Organised under the patronage of His Excellency Sultan Al Mansouri, the UAE Minister of Economy in Abu Dhabi, the event was attended by Dr. Hani Al Mulki, Chief Commissioner of the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA), as well as more than 300 businessmen and prominent financial professionals from Jordan.
AODC's participation in the event articulates the company's priority to promote its national investment project that is designed to further drive Jordan's high-profile investments.
Speaking at the event, AODC officials highlighted key components and scope of the Ayla project in Aqaba. The unique mixed-use development has registered high uptake from the community as one of the most successful and sustainable initiatives of its kind in the area. Marking a significant milestone within the first phase of the project, 17 kilometers of aesthetically designed man-made lagoons have been integrated to the waterfront. The project also includes the first international 18-hole golf course designed by Greg Norman along with a 9-hole golf academy in Aqaba.
Furthermore, AODC officials shared that the project contributes to the creation of job opportunities for thousands of Jordanians as part of the company's long term goal to expand the diversity of investments in the region and stimulate the pace of everyday living.
Strategically located, the Ayla project links the ancient and modern worlds in Aqaba, a city that boasts the only sea port in Jordan. In combining best-in-class commercial space offerings and high-end housing with high-quality entertainment services, the project is set to help position the city of Aqaba as a global hub for tourism and trade.
