The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology (MTCIT) has granted approval to operate Otaxi to operate services via a mobile application in Musandam, within the framework of enabling the public transport service in Musandam Governorate.

The decision is expected to stimulate the attraction of tourists, increasing commercial and development growth in the governorate, and supporting small and medium enterprises.

The company that had a slow and humble start now has 1,500 taxis in its fleet in Muscat and has plans to to equip all vehicles with facilities such as Wi-Fi and premium or VIP services.
