KUWAIT CITY, Oct 23: The Public Authority for Housing Welfare (PAHW) has issued two warning letters to contractors for failing to complete housing projects on time in West Abdullah Al-Mubarak Residential City, reports Al-Anba daily quoting PAHW sources. The same sources said the first warning letter was issued to the construction, completion and maintenance of public buildings in plots (02 & 03) contractor on August 30, 2020, and the project has still fallen behind time, with the actual completion rate standing at 88.8 percent.

The project is expected to be completed at end of next November while the contractual period of the project expired on May 27, 2020. As for the second warning, it was sent to the contractor for the construction, completion and maintenance of 5 water tanks with a capacity of 500,000 gallons, 2 ground tanks with a capacity of 250,000 gallons, and 6 groundwater wells. The completion date was end of last September, which means that the actual delay rate is 36.90%, although the project had obtained an extension for completion until Sept 9, 2021. Now the project is expected to be completed on March 10, 2022.
