Jeddah: On Sunday, February 7, 2021, SAUDIA concluded its participation in the Saudi International powered by SoftBank Investment Advisers Golf Championship as a sponsor and the official airline carrier of the tournament for the third straight year. The annual golf event took place at the Royal Greens Golf Club in King Abdallah Economic City,

H.E. the Director General of Saudi Arabian Airlines, Eng. Ibrahim Al-Omar, expressed his great delight of SAUDIA sponsoring this global sporting event, as it comes within SAUDIA’s framework in supporting the international sports, and contribution in supporting the nation’s efforts in promoting golf as it has an ever-increasing audience throughout the Kingdom. This is in addition to supporting the national development initiatives and promoting and achieving the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 as Saudi Arabia’s national flag carrier.

SAUDIA congratulates the World number 1 player, Mr. Dustin Johnson on his latest win at this year’s edition of the Saudi International.

The tournament was broadcast worldwide in more than 60 countries, and more than 329 million of fans tuned in to watch the esteemed tournament.

SAUDIA’s contribution in sponsoring the global sporting event comes as an extension of its sponsorship of various international sporting events hosted by the Kingdom, most notably the Formula E electric racing championship, the Saudi Cup, and many other global events.
