Doha-Qatar: Qatar Postal Services Company (Qatar Post)  has signed a licence agreement with FIFA, the international governing body of football, to be the provider of Qatar stamp issues for the FIFA World Cup 2022™ in Qatar.

Under the licence agreement Qatar Post will issue a programme of eleven stamp issues during 2021 to 2022, starting with the launch of the first stamp featuring the Official Emblem of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ on 1 April 2021.

The stamps are designed to celebrate each stage of the preparation leading up to the FIFA World Cup™ in 2022, in addition to recognising the rich history of football in Qatar. The issues will also include VIP folders, first day covers as well as commemorative stamp sets, bringing to life Qatar Post’s innovative designs using state-of-the-art augmented reality technology for the enjoyment of customers.

Qatar Post and FIFA are proud that the first official stamp issue will also be the first FIFA World Cup 2022™ Official Licensed Product to reach costumers in Qatar.

The stamp issues will document Qatar’s rich heritage in hosting major football events, the history of football in Qatar, the history of the FIFA World Cup 2022™ stadiums, and moving on to highlight a string of official FIFA milestones including the opening and closing ceremonies.

The FIFA World Cup stamp issues programme is an opportunity for Qatar Post, as the national postal service provider, to showcase Qatar as the host of the FIFA World Cup 2022™, as well as Qatar’s history and culture as a sporting nation. Currently, Qatar Post is also in the process of collaborating with other FIFA licensees to bring new and exciting high-quality products for the benefit of customers in Qatar and across the world.

Qatar Post invites customers and collectors in Qatar and around the world to enjoy this stamp issue as part of the celebration of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™.
