She was selected for her business achievements and all the strong work she has undertaken for the empowerment of women and children, among other significant social issues that she is dedicated to. Nashwa Al Ruwaini was listed alongside Mohamed Alabbar, Chairman of Emaar Properties, Prince Alwaleed bin Talal Al Saud, Chairman and CEO of Kingdom Holding Group, Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman and CEO of Emirates Group, Hussein Sajwani, Founder and Chairman of Damac Holding, and Lubna Olayan, Chairwoman of SABB and Al Awwal Bank among other names.

Nashwa Al Ruwaini is renowned for her role as the CEO and Board Member of Pyramedia Media Production and Consulting Company, a twenty-year old company famous for the production of the Morning Show on Abu Dhabi TV, the Evening Show on Emarat TV and a highly popular musical talent show Al Zaman Al Jameel that was pioneered this year for Abu Dhabi Media Company. Pyramedia has also produced unique TV formats such as the Nashwa Show, Millions Poet and Prince of Poets, the Buzzer as well as award winning documentaries linked to the heritage and history of the UAE. The Company has also consulted for a variety of government and private sector companies in the region and casted for famous Hollywood Productions such as Syriana, Kingdom of Heaven and Aladdin.

Nashwa Al Ruwaini however has other business roles as she is also the CEO of Al Joude Investments, CEO of Al Joude Advertising and Publicity, as well as CEO of Delma Medical Centre and Founder of Nashwa Jewellery, an exclusive pearl collection. Al Ruwaini is also the Founder and Chairman of the Nashwa Foundation, a charity that is dedicated to philanthropic work across the Arab world, Member of the International Emmys and AIB and a consultant to many government entities.

Nashwa Al Ruwaini has been recognized by Arabian Business several times as well as  receiving several leadership and industry awards for business and humanitarian work such as the Mother Teresa Memorial Award for Social Justice and a Knight Woman by the United Nations. Similarly, Al Ruwaini has been acknowledged by Forbes magazine on more than one occasion and last year was coined among The Middle East's Most Influential Women.
