Over 200 people received the Covid-19 vaccine at Dubai Chamber’s headquarters

Dubai, UAE: Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in cooperation with the Dubai Health Authority, today hosted a Covid-19 vaccination campaign at its headquarters for Chamber employees and their families.

More than 200 people received the Oxford-AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine during the campaign, which supports the UAE’s ongoing efforts to vaccinate 50% of the country’s population by the end of Q1-2021.

H.E. Hamad Buamim, President & CEO of Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, noted that the campaign’s strong turnout reflected growing social awareness of the importance of the Covid-19 vaccination in ensuring the health and safety of UAE citizens and residents and supporting country’s economic recovery and transition back to normal life.

The UAE serves as a leading example demonstrating how public and private sector stakeholders are working closely together to address common challenges, H.E Buamim explained. He also pointed out that the country has positioned itself in at the forefront of the global Covid-19 vaccine race after reaching the milestone of five million administered doses earlier this month.

“We are all responsible and we have a shared duty to protect the health and safety of all members of society. By joining this campaign and supporting the UAE’s ongoing vaccination efforts, we can be part of the solution, make a positive impact and pave the way to recovery,” added Dubai Chamber’s President & CEO.
