The Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) is set to host its 10th webinar as part of its ongoing series of online meetings to address issues affecting Arab-Brazil trade relations amid the pandemic.

The latest ABCC-organized virtual conference, to be held on July 8, 2020, will focus on the risk investigation process involving export financial operations, in addition to highlighting bank payment procedures concerning regional imports and exports.

The event will gather Arab and Brazilian lawyers and bank representatives to shed light on the most utilized export and import bank payment methods in key Arab states and Brazil. Fundamentals such as relevant costs, agility, security and other major considerations will be the core of the main discussions on available payment options to update the attendees of any new development in light of the global health crisis.

Furthermore, the webinar will emphasize why due diligence is crucial to identifying the risks of a deal. It will bring attention to various types of due diligence - from simple to the most intricate - that can be implemented depending on the needs of a business organization. At the end of the webinar, the attendees are also expected to learn about expensive analysis as well as the most relevant updates on foreign trade transactions.

Rubens Hannun, President, Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce, said: “Since the beginning of the pandemic, we have been hosting a series of webinars to give our members and stakeholders a platform where they can tackle their most pressing concerns during this pandemic. We already covered a wide range of issues brought forth by the current unexpected challenges in our past virtual events, and our 10th webinar will be no different.”

“The upcoming online conference will be full of insights and analyses to help the participants navigate through this difficult period and thrive despite trade constraints. The pandemic has affected international product purchases and sales as well, as such, ABCC hopes to address related issues that can help Arab and Brazilian firms better respond to current and emerging threats within these areas.”

The previous ABCC-hosted webinars tackled an extensive range of topics, each virtual seminar attracted an average of 800 attendees from Brazilian and Arab business organizations.
