Dubai: As Director of Finance, Wasim will oversee the Finance & Purchasing departments. He will be responsible for financial reporting and budget management functions as well as ensuring that Swissôtel Al Ghurair & Swissotel Living Al Ghurair is compliant to Accor Accounting Policies and Procedures.

Wasim brings over 14 years of professional experience and has held progressive roles in the Finance department, from the very beginning of his career in 2005. He joins Swissôtel Al Ghurair from his most recent role as Cluster Director of Finance at Marriott International overseeing Aloft Me'aisam, Element Me'aisam and Aloft Dubai South since October 2017. In each of these positions, Wasim has always taken a keen interest in developing people, teams and leadership potential as well as implementing effective people engagement strategies.

Wasim started his career in Dubai in 2005 as an Accounting Supervisor with Pre-opening

experience and moved as Accounts Payable and Payroll Supervisor within the Marriott

Chain. In 2010 Wasim, joined Fairmont Dubai as Staff Accountant and thereafter progressed to

various roles like Chief Accountant, Assistant Director of Finance and Financial Controller

within the property. He then moved to Fairmont Ajman as Director of Finance and Business

Support in June 2016. He has assisted as task force to various properties like Fairmont

Zimbali Resort- South Africa, Raffles Praslin- Seychelles and Fairmont Palm Jumeirah-Dubai.
