MANAMA: Two solar-powered weather stations have started providing meteorological data to help farmers in Bahrain.

They have been installed at Budaiya and Hoorat A’ali, where agricultural projects are concentrated.

“The automated weather stations provide data round the clock and deliver useful data for farmers,” said Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Ministry Under-Secretary for Agriculture and Marine Resources Dr Nabil Abul Fateh.

The data will help modernise farming strategies and help select projects that suit climatic conditions in the area.
