Cairo – The Egyptian Ministry of International Cooperation revealed that the ongoing development cooperation portfolio includes six petroleum projects worth $1.12 billion.

The petroleum portfolio attracted contributions from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the World Bank, the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB), Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED), and the European Union (EU), according to a statement on Sunday.

These projects contributed to delivering natural gas to 2.3 million households, producing 3 million tonnes of crude oil annually, cutting carbon dioxide emissions by about 295,000 tonnes, and saving energy by nearly 300,000 megawatts per hour every year.
