Cairo –  The Egyptian Ministry of Petroleum announced that two new wells have been put into production with an average daily output of 390 million cubic feet of gas and 1,300 barrels of condensates.

Production at Zohr 17 well in the offshore natural gas field located in the Mediterranean Sea started following the completion of drilling operations, according to a statement on Tuesday.

Zohr 17 well is expected to reach a maximum production capacity of 250 million cubic feet of gas per day.

A total of 15 wells have been drilled at Zohr field.

Moreover, the Baltim South West (BSW) 7 well in the Nile Delta region has been put into production by Belayim Petroleum (Petrobel) with its maximum output capacity of 140 million cubic feet of gas per day and 1,300 barrels of condensates per day.
