Conex Banninger expands Mideast sales team

Conex Banninger, a global leader in the design and manufacture of fittings, valves and accessories, has expanded its sales team in the Middle East region recruiting Chris Meir as specification sales manager.
Meir has 23 years’ experience in the heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC) industry, having worked extensively in the UK and more recently in the Middle East.
Based out of the company’s office in Dubai, his new role is to further relationships with specifiers, highlighting the high quality and benefits of Conex B?nninger’s comprehensive range of industrial valves and fittings.
"Conex Banninger is a strong brand, with a great heritage and quality products, and we want those products to be the preferred option for the many prestigious construction projects that are still continuing to be built in this region, stated Meir.
"The Middle East remains a strong market, and my aim will be to get close to the designers of these projects to show them what we can offer and the high standards we work to," he noted.
"But it will also be important to follow that through, developing good connections down the whole supply chain, including project management consultants and contractors," he added.
Meir began his career in HVAC with a national chain of distributors, progressing through their management training programme and becoming a branch manager.
He then moved to the manufacturing side as an area sales manager, achieving a number of promotions before being appointed to two separate sales director roles for the UK and Ireland.
Having decided to broaden his experience once more, he has been working in the Middle East for the past two years for a major European building services product manufacturer.-TradeArabia New Service
