Bahrain - The Tender Board, the independent regulator of Bahrain government procurement activities, yesterday opened 110 bids related to 17 tenders for 11 purchasing authorities.

The opening included one tender for the Electricity and Water Authority (EWA), for water transmission augmentation works for Madinat Salman and Ramli Housing Developments water station works (Lot A and Lot B), which received eight bids.

Another tender was for EWA’s Central Stores Directorate regarding the purchase of water fittings, which received four bids.

A tender was opened for the Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Ministry’s works affairs for the supply of glassware and consumables. Nine bids were received for this tender.

Two other tenders were opened for the Transportation and Telecommunications Ministry. The first was for hotel accommodation for hosting civil and military delegations and flying display teams for Bahrain International Airshow (BIAS 2020), which received 21 bids. The second was for the aircraft ground handling services at the Sakhir Air Base for BIAS 2020, which received one bid.

Four bids were opened for Information Affairs Ministry, regarding six radio stations transmission and antenna network project.

A tender was also opened for the Health Ministry on providing two farmers services for Salmaniya Medical Complex, which received five bids.

Regarding the oil and gas sector, two tenders were opened for Tatweer Petroleum. The first was for potable water supply services, which received seven bids. The second was for the supply of scale inhibitor – downhole injection for two years, which received two bids.

Another tender was opened for Bapco retail company, for maintenance works at retail service stations, which received 11 bids.

Three tenders were opened for Gulf Air. The first tender for medical insurance coverage for Gulf Air headquarters’ staff and families, which received four bids. The second was for the inflight catering uplift services at Kuala Lumpur International Airport, Malaysia, which received two bids. The third was for to purchase universal wheel assembly/disassembly stand and universal torqueing system, which received one bid.

Two other tenders for Bahrain Airport Company for upgradation of airfield ground lighting control system at Bahrain International Airport received three bids.

Three other tenders were opened for the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs. The first for maintenance works for mosque in Sitra, which received five bids. The second was for the design and supervision stage and consultancy services for Halat Al Naim Mosque and multi-purpose hall in Muharraq, which received 13 bids. The third was for the design and supervision stage consultancy services for Karzakan mosque, which received 10 bids.

The tender process was attended by representatives of the bidding companies.
