Cairo – The US-based oil and gas producer Apache has invested more than $20 billion in Egypt, the Regional Vice President and General Manager, David Chi, said.

The North African nation has a leading position in the oil and gas sector thanks to its resources and location, making it a regional hub for foreign investments in the energy sector, Chi pointed out in a statement on Sunday.

These remarks came during the multi-stakeholder platform for the petroleum and mineral resources sector.
