Austria's rail network in the eastern part of the country, which includes Vienna, is down because of a technical failure, Austria's national rail operator OBB said on Thursday.

"No rail travel is currently possible in all of eastern Austria. The reason is a technical failure," OBB said on Twitter. Services from Vienna include links to neighbouring Hungary, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Switzerland and Germany.
