Greece's central government reported a primary budget deficit of 1.167 billion euros ($1.18 billion) in the first seven months of the year, lower than targeted due to higher revenues, finance ministry data showed on Tuesday.

The government was targeting a primary budget gap - which excludes debt-servicing costs - of 5.808 billion euros for the seven month period. ($1 = 0.9874 euros) (Reporting by Lefteris Papadimas)
