Successful mobile workshop delights commercial vehicle fleet clients and will return to Oman in 2012

Muscat, Oman - Over a period of just two weeks, a 'Mercedes-Benz Field Force' of eight Zawawi Trading Company (ZTC) service and parts specialists and factory experts from Germany have made a positive impact on the roads of Oman, performing checks on over 150 commercial vehicles, and training over 60 drivers to ensure customers' trucks are operated with optimum efficiency and with the utmost safety.

Providing vehicle checks, tips, training, maintenance, repair, competitive spare parts offers and complimentary services in and around the capital between 26 November to 7 December 2011, the universally positive feedback from ZTC customers to the first ever 'Mercedes-Benz Field Force' has led the authorized general distributor for Mercedes-Benz in the Sultanate to immediately confirm the initiative's return in 2012.

Craig Hardie, CEO - Automotive, Zawawi Trading Company, said: "Whether it's a Mercedes-Benz truck, saloon or AMG sports car, Zawawi customers in Oman can expect the same high level of service every time. Continuing to go the extra mile for customers is our ambition, and the success of the Field Force has once again exceeded expectations and allowed us to set the bar one notch higher for our ongoing commercial fleet support and servicing in Oman by announcing that the mobile workshop will return next year."

The 'Mercedes-Benz Field Force' performed mobile workshop services offering customers free vehicle inspection checks and diagnosis; driver training on new Mercedes-Benz Actros trucks; maintenance and repair technical advice and tips; and service repair packages for 2011. A Driver Training Program educated drivers on two core competencies - defensive and economic driving.

In addition, the initiative also offered complimentary oil services and tyre checks for selected customers, as well as competitive prices on spare parts packages.
