Amman: In recognition of subscribers' satisfaction in its services, Umniah announced the launch of a new phase in its Pointing Program, offering additional features. A new group of companies joined the program's network of partners, enabling Umniah subscribers to redeem the points they collect based on their monthly bill and exchange them for a variety of unique rewards from over 24 new partners in 100 different locations across the Kingdom. The new list of partners includes famous restaurants, gift shops, movie theaters, gas stations, furniture and household appliance shops, in addition to a number of other lifestyle shops.
From a humanitarian perspective, the Pointing Program also enables subscribers to redeem their points' value and use it for charitable donations to the Al Aman Fund for the Future of the Orphans, which was founded by Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah in 2006. This feature acts as an invitation from Umniah to its subscribers to contribute to social development in Jordan and to play a positive and responsible role in their society through what is considered an extremely unique initiative.
Commenting on the program, Mr. Omar Omoush, Director of Marketing at Umniah, said: "We launched the new phase of our Pointing Program in a broader manner with a new humanitarian angle, whereby we are encouraging subscribers to join Umniah in supporting the Al Aman Fund for the Future of the Orphans. The Pointing Program was first launched in February 2009, at which time points were redeemed for services provided by Umniah. In July 2009, the program was expanded to allow Umniah subscribers to redeem their points from other entities.
