30 September 2003
In September 2003, full renovation of all banquet halls has been completed at the Radisson Slavyanskaya Hotel and Business Center, Moscow, Russia. Six main banquet halls including the Composers’ Hall make the largest international level hotel ballroom in Moscow (1156 sq.m or 1000 seats).
In addition to the interior design features, the technical equipment of the halls, including sound, lighting, ventilation, air conditioning, electricity and safety systems have been fully updated to meet the highest international standards. The works included total replacement of the wall wooden coat, replacement of wooden pillars coated with mirrors (200 sq.m), replacement of old doors with glass elements, 1000 halogene spotlights and dimmers, and construction of a new stage in Glinka Hall. All sound equipment was purchased from well known companies in Japan, Germany, USA, Italy and represent such top brands as Yamaha, Mackie Industrial, and Behringer. The management of the sound system is provided with the help of the digital mixer-matrix Auxpander - the latest and the only one in Moscow.
The author of the renovation project is Pavel Policarpov.
Gourami Mjavanadze, Radisson SAS Slavyanskaya Hotel and Business Center General Director says: “Completion of this extensive renovation will give our hotel the most modern meeting and banqueting facilities in Moscow. These state-of-the-art facilities combined with the Radisson SAS Meetings and Events strategy and our 550 seat Conference Hall will ensure our competitiveness in the growing conference market in Moscow”.
“Moscow is more often chosen as a destination for top level international conferences. Moscow is a fascinating city full of potential for the hospitality industry as it offers an environment reflecting impressive modern development, captivating cultural heritage, and unique historical significance. These features, when combined with the international level services and facilities of our hotel, make Moscow a very attractive option for international business and leisure travelers,” adds Joergen Rathjen, General Manager of the hotel.
