The Band of the Prince of Wales's Division to perform for BBG members at Nad Al Sheba
Dubai, UAE, April 18, 2007: Members of the British Business Group (BBG) will get a taste of home this week when they are treated to a rousing performance of music from musicals and the movies by the Band of the Prince of Wales's Division.
The event, being held at Nad Al Sheba on Saturday (April 21), is the first of a week-long series of engagements in Dubai for the band, which is one of the British Army's foremost infantry bands.
The 35-piece band regularly performs for royalty and participates in the Sovereign's Parade at Sandhurst's Royal Military Academy. Its engagements also include non-military events including the FA Cup Final, the highlight of England's football calendar.
BBG chairman Nick Dutt said: "This is the BBG's first musical event and promises to be a wonderful evening, with proceeds going to charity. It will be the first opportunity to see the band play in Dubai on their week-long visit and the only chance to see them play this sort of music."
The British Business Group, Dubai & Northern Emirates was set up in 1987 to encourage the development of British business in the UAE.
