Dubai, 23rd January 2007: Pearl Properties, a group company of His Highness Sheikh Issa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has announced plans for the construction of 'Al Hekma Tower'. This spectacular 61-storey tower will be constructed in honor of the memory of His Highness Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the late father of His Highness Sheikh Issa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, in recognition of the unrivalled contribution made during the term of his reign to the development and promotion of the United Arab Emirates and greater Arab World.
Al Hekma Tower, which directly translates to mean 'The Wisdom Tower', will be sited near The Defense Interchange on Sheikh Zayed Road, and will proudly display an image of the late ruler which will crown the top of the building at a staggering size of 50 metres an impressive monument from his devoted son. When completed, this will be the largest portrait of a single individual to be seen on any tower in the Middle East.
Mr. Seif el Suwaidi, manager of His Highness's private office, commented on the announcement: "The vision behind this unique project is to honor Sheikh Zayed, a widely respected Arab and world statesman, for a lifetime of positive contributions, wisdom and determined efforts, the combination of which has played a vital role in the U.A.E.'s formation and economic success. Our late Highness's sphere of influence extended far beyond the Emirates. As a direct result of his impetus and determination, the region has also developed into a global business, leisure and economic hub of note. The name of the building was personally chosen by His Highness Sheikh Issa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan as "Wisdom Tower" in recognition of the principal characteristic of our late President and Rulers intelligence and good judgment, something that was the key to unlocking many of his greatest ambitions for the Arab world."
The Al Hekma Tower will be completed in 2008. It is expected that during 2007 His Highness Sheikh Issa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Pearl Properties will announce a number of other major projects that will span all seven of the United Arab Emirates.

Al Hekma Tower is the second project to under construction by Pearl Properties thus far. This major Abu Dhabi based real estate Development Company was established in 2005 by His Highness Sheikh Issa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and has been created to develop highly innovative and visionary real estate projects. Pearl Property's first major development project, launched in November 2006, is The Palisades. This AED10 billion commercial, residential and leisure real estate offering will be located within Dubai Investments Park and is currently under construction, expected for completion in 2008.
