Jeddah, 25 January, 2012: The Saudi Metal Artwork Company (MASCO), a subsidiary of Roots Group Arabia, has announced the launch of its new group of factories in Bahra - the western region. Through this business development step, the company aims for further business expansion in the region and increasing its market share by 30% to meet the Saudi market's demand and growth. The group of factories was inaugurated by Sheikh Saleh Bin Laden, the Chairman Roots Group Arabia in the presence of many companies' directors and engineers and the media representatives.

For a period of over 20 years, Metal Artwork Saudi Company (MASCO) is proud for being one of the companies which had participated in executing large scopes of Metal work in projects such as, Al Jamarat Bridge in Makkah, Pilgrims Airport in Jeddah, the metal and copper artwork in AlMedina Holy Mosque,  Metal construction work in The Royal Clock Tower in Makkah, Metal works in KAUST, manufacturing and supplying Cast steel for the water desalination and sewage projects, King Suad Bin Abdul Aziz University, Princess Norah Bint Abdul Rahman University in Riyadh, and the Private Aviation Project in Jeddah, in addition to various big and medium projects in the region.

MASCo works to international standards in developing and updating its metal work products through its advanced laboratories which are supervised by a group of qualified experts and engineers who work constantly to adapt and apply high manufacturing standards by using the new technology.MASCO is specialized in manufacturing Hollow Metal Doors of all types from non-fire related to bullet proof doors, high quality decorative gates, roof hatches, steel structure, space frames, handrails and casting metals, from design to engineering, fabrication and installation.

During the opening ceremony, Eng. Samir Al-Shubaily, Deputy CEO of Roots Group Arabia affirmed that the new factory in the western region is part of the group's strategy to increase its production capacity in meeting the rising demand on the company's products especially in the western region which is witnessing many giant projects and wide urbanization. He added that the Group strategy is based on well-planned business objectives which serves the group reputation and its subsidiaries in terms of quality and the consistency towards expansion through opening new factories in the region and areas which need more of its supplies.

Al-Shubaily stated that these factories will contribute to national development by providing employment opportunities for national youth cadres since the Group's objective is to contribute to the activation of the national plan to implement the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to support national cadres, especially women, being part of the Group's corporate social responsibility - many skilled women have been already employed in various engineering, administrative and accounting departments.

Eng.Badie Darwazeh, the Executive General Manager of Metal Artwork Saudi Company said that cost of this new group of factories is around 70,000 million Riyals, and it comes as a step to fulfill the supply needs and growing demands for metal works, in line with the group's ambitious plans in this direction. Noting that the built area of the factories is 26,000 square meters where the factories' annual production capacity is 20,000 tons of metal products that will contribute to meeting the market needs.

It's worth mentioning that the company had worked for King Abdullah project and accomplished all assigned scopes of Metal Works in various zones in the projects while complying with the specifications and international standards through an integrated team.
