Sharjah, UAE - January 11th, 2012: Tandeef - the waste collection, street cleaning and city beautification division of Bee'ah - today celebrates its second operational year of making Sharjah clean and beautiful for over 800,000 residents to live in.
Bee'ah - the Middle East's leading integrated and award winning environmental and waste management company - was established in line with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qassimi, member of the Supreme Council of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Sharjah, with a commitment to lead an environmental change in both Sharjah and the UAE, by providing coherent and sustainable environmental solutions to meet the challenges of the community it serves.
In light of this guiding leadership, Bee'ah believes that people who live and work in a clean space strive to maintain cleanliness and thus launched Tandeef in January 2010. Since then, Tandeef has successfully delivered comprehensive, cost effective, environmentally sound and technically reliable waste collection and city beautification solutions by collecting over 600,000 tonnes of non-hazardous municipal solid waste, from over 1,000,000 residents throughout the Emirate of Sharjah.

In April 2011, Tandeef signed an agreement with the Sharjah Municipality to be the sole provider of waste collection and beautification solutions to the entire Emirate of Sharjah for the next 15 years, and providing the community with clean roads and pavements as a free-of-cost service. Combining the experience of the Sharjah Municipality, Tandeef helps to control waste efficiently and 'close the loop' between consumption and disposal.
The division is part of Bee'ah's overall integrated waste management solutions which also include recycling, waste minimization and community outreach and awareness. The company is on an aggressive timeline to expand its collection and recycling programmes to include all segments of the community such as residential, commercial and industrial. This division is responsible for the residential waste and recyclables collection; industrial, commercial and institutional (ICI) waste and recyclables collection, street cleaning and beautification; and logistics and waste transfer.
