Amman - STS, a leading IT services and enterprise solutions provider in the region, announced its cooperation with Al Khayyat Group, agent for Peugeot, Mazda, Geely and Iran Khodro to employ IBM's infrastructure, hardware servers and storage to run enterprise Resource Planning solution (ERP) a business management system that integrates all facets of the business.
ERP software applications can be used to manage product planning, parts purchasing, inventories, interacting with suppliers, providing customer service, and tracking orders. ERP can also include application modules for the finance and human resources aspects of a business.
"The idea behind the project was to develop a new IT environment to automate the group's operations and procedures. Setting up of ERP on IBM hardware provided a level of system functionality that could immediately improve inventory management and the expandability and flexibility to support Al Khayyat's growth. Equally important was STS' excellent track record in implementing IBM's solutions to meet the endless demands of business clients in the market. " said Taher Al Husseini, General Manager of Khayyat Group.
"STS was chosen among a list of IT companies in Jordan based on factors that directly supported corporate objectives." Al Husseini added.
Deployed on IBM platform, the ERP solution introduces business best practices, and helps Al Khayyat Group eliminate inaccurate ways of carrying out the different business functions. This helps provide greater control and introduces standardized ways to perform business processes.
"By utilizing the ERP system on IBM platform, Al Khayyat Group will notice considerable reduction in time required to complete tasks. As the different parts of the organization are connected with each other, employees have faster access to information and require less time to complete their tasks. This helps improve efficiency, stability, performance resources for decision-making, and clients will certainly enjoy superior customer service." said Humam Mufti, STS General Manager.
