Bahrain's first lady diplomat, Sheikha Haya Rashed Al Khalifa, who was formally elected on 8 June 2006 as the next President of the U.N. General Assembly received accolades from her colleagues at her firm, Haya Rashed Al Khalifa- Attorneys at Law and Legal Consultants.
Head of Litigation and Arbitration Mr Rashid Bo-Ghammar, speaking on her appointment said, "We pride ourselves on being her associates. Sheikha Haya has been an inspiration to us all. Her appointment is an endorsement to the ideals she has instilled in her people and her firm. Sheikha Haya's career has spanned more than three decades, focusing on diplomacy, international arbitration and dispute resolution as well as on the status of women in the Middle East.
