Previews Exclusive "Solo Per Te" & "Petali" Collections in UAE

Dubai, 7th December 2004: Scintilla Monaco, a leading diamond jewellery house and a 100 year old sight holder of the Diamond Trading Corporation (DTC) London (a De Beers Group company), today announced its central theme as "Calla Lilies", on the sidelines of International Jewellery Dubai 2004 (IJD) - the most prestigious watch and jewellery trade exhibition in the Middle East.

Scintilla Monaco also announced the launch of its exclusive "Solo Per Te" & "Petali" collections in the UAE, at IJD '04. Both these collections will be on display at Scintilla Monaco's state-of-art presentation at this year's IJD.

Commenting on the selection of the theme Ms Erminia de Marco, Manager, Corporate Affairs, Scintilla Monaco said, "We were looking at a theme that would express Scintilla Monaco's core essence of elegance, purity, warmth, nature, beauty and most importantly it had to be a symbol of love. After lot of research and a sound understanding of the markets preferences we came to the conclusion that Calla Lilies perfectly matched our requirement."

Participating for the third time at IJD, Scintilla Monaco uses diamonds of the finest grade with each one cut to perfection. To complement their white colour and brilliance, Scintilla Monaco diamonds are set in classic 18 k white gold.

Speaking on Scintilla Monaco's presentation at IJD '04 Ms de Marco, said, "Soaked in royal splendour, the Principality of Monaco inspires the making of the most exquisite creations in diamond jewellery by Scintilla Monaco. The key highlight of the Scintilla Monaco presentation was showcasing of the masterpieces, the Exclusive "Solo Per Te - Only For You" collection, valued above US $250,000 a piece. These      one-of-a-kind masterpieces have been dedicated to women who desire to make their individual statements.

According to the design team of Scintilla Monaco, "women are magical beings, shrouded in secrets and sensuality" and therefore this collection can take up to eighteen months for perfection from the time of commissioning the selection of the stones till completion of the set.

Four handcrafted parures from Scintilla Monaco's "Solo Per Te - Only For You". On display at the IJD are the enchanting "Ghirlanda", "Swan Lake", "Primavera" and "Marguerite".

Another key highlight of the Scintilla Monaco presentation at this year's event was the display of its "Petali" collection. Designed by Gianpiero Borsari of the Scintilla design studio in Monaco, Petali, Italian for flower petals, is a delicate and elegant line inspired by the beauty of flowers and the latest Scintilla Monaco jewellery collection.

Ms de Marco, said, "Petali is dedicated to women with innate modern elegance and a love of fine,    one-of-a-kind jewels. It is a celebration of the timeless theme of love and joy coupled with avant-garde creativity, inspired by Vivaldi's Four Seasons (Primavera) and Van Gogh's 'Almond Flowers in Bloom'."

Only marquise and pear-shaped diamonds, which appear to float above 18 carat white gold settings are used, and represent "love and affection in perfect harmony." In addition to the Pateli designs being glamorous and seductive, they also enhance the contours of the neck, the ears and the fingers.

Also, as a leading sight holder of DTC London, Scintilla Monaco participated at the DTC fashion show organized on Day 2 of IJD '04. Showcased at the grand finale was the showcasing of Scintilla Monaco's dazzling and beautiful "REGINA", a tiara that can be magically transformed into a collier. Profoundly romantic in its creation, REGINA is a medley of 121 carats of over 200 marquise, pear and oval diamonds set in perfect harmony in18K white gold.
