Edutech expects this partnership to help in strategically consolidating its position in the region

Schneider Electric, a recognized leader in power and control, has partnered with Edutech Middle East, a leading international learning solutions provider, for the distribution of comprehensive educational equipment solutions targeted at technical and engineering students. The partnership aims to leverage Edutech's market stronghold in a bid to tap the growing education sector in the Gulf as well as to bring Schneider Electric's expertise, knowledge and technologies to the region.

Schneider Electric, which posted Euro 14 billion in revenues in 2006, allocated 5 per cent of its earnings to research and development and has announced that the strategic alliance with Edutech is aimed at addressing the growing demand for its unique educational equipment solutions in the Gulf. The partnership announcement was made at the recently concluded Gulf Education & Training Exhibition (GETEX) 2007 held at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre where the two companies showcased a range of solutions for the education sector.

As a regional partner, Edutech will utilize its comprehensive network base to distribute Schneider Electric's educational range of products, technical manuals and exercise books that assist learners in civil, electrical, mechanical engineering and industrial technology. The range of equipment includes electrical energy distribution, power control, automation data capture and processing equipment and automated system and communication solutions.
