A trip per hour starting from 2:00 p.m
Al Mulla: the routes been operated in partnership with the Public Transport in Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Al Ghazal Transport.
Dubai (United Arab Emirates): The Public Transport Agency in the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) starts operating three routes daily from Abu Dhabi, Al-Ain and Sharjah to the Global Village, in the occasion of the beginning of spring vacation and the completion of exams and in line with its desire to provide an easy and convenient transportation for public wishing to visit the Global Village.
Mohammed Obeid Al Mulla, CEO of the Public Transport Agency said that the operation of these routes comes in implementation of the directives from His Excellency Mattar Al Tayer, Chairman of the Board and Executive Director of RTA to take care on the transport sector aims to attract additional numbers of passengers and reduce the numbers of vehicles on road network and thereby reduce congestion and accidents on highways, which is witnessing an increase in the vehicles segment that increase the risks of accidents.
Its also came coincides with the implementation of RTA strategic plan which covers the development of road networks and passenger transportation services as well as the application of Intelligent Traffic System and set up the necessary legislation to crystallize the solutions of traffic congestion problems and their reflections negative.
He added that the Public Transport Agency has operated these routes in cooperation and coordination with strategic partners in Abu Dhabi and Sharjah and in coordination with the Global Village management, which provided a discount of 50% on the entrance ticket for the users of Inter-city bus service to be given once they show the bus ticket when entering the global village.
Al Mulla confirmed that our ambitions extends to be able soon to offer our services to all cities and emirates and the development of transport networks and means in the Emirate and outside commensurate with the Dubai position and the urban expansion and increase in the number of population and turned into a regional and international center for trade and business.
From his part said, Najib Al Zarouni Director of the Inter-City Transport Department said that the route (Abu Dhabi - Global Village) is a partnership between the Inter-City Transport Department and the Public Transport Department in the Municipalities and Agriculture Authority of Abu Dhabi and Al Ghazal Transport, which fees amounts AED 20, and starts the first trip from Abu Dhabi to the Global Village at 2:00pm, and continue buses trips by a trip per hour, and the last bus moving at 5:00pm. The buses start its return trips from Global Village to Abdu Dhabi in 8:30 pm to be end at 11:30pm.
He pointed out that the route (Al Ain- global village) is a partnership between the Inter-City Transport Department and Al Ghazal Transport, which fees amounts of AED 20, and starts the first trip from Al Ain to the Global Village in 2:00pm and continue buses in their trips by a trip per hour, and the last bus moving at 5:00pm, and the buses begin its return trips from the global village to Al Ain at 8:30pm and conclude return trip at 11:30pm.
He explained that the fee of the journey between Sharjah and the Global Village is AED 10, and the route operates in partnership between the Inter-City Department and Sharjah Public Transport Agency. The first trip from Sharjah began at 2:30pm, and is operating a trip per hour with the last trip start at 6:30pm. While the return trips from the global village to Sharjah starts at 8:00pm to be end at 12:00mignight.
