Over 100 Retailers from Middle East and Africa Attend

Dubai, March 8, 2012: Rivoli Group recently held their Regional Eyewear Winter Convention at a 5-star hotel in Dubai. More than 100 retailers from the Middle East and North Africa participated in the convention.

More than one hundred of the industry's largest retailers attended the event, including Al Badr Optical, Al Duliman Optics (KSA), Al Jaber Optical (UAE), Al Jaber Opticians, Dubai Optical, Hassan's Optician Co., Paris Gallery as well as regional retailers Bahrain Optician, M.H Al Shaya (Vision Express), Grand Optics, Magrabi Optical and Yateem Optician. Retailers from Oman, Bahrain, Egypt and Jordan also participated.

Commenting on the success of the convention, Rivoli Group General Manager, Mr. Shanu Nag said: "The Winter Convention is yet another window of opportunity to reinforce Rivoli's ongoing relationships with our retail partners within the industry. This was primarily a platform to engage our trade partners and share ideas on eyewear innovations as well as latest trends in vogue across the globe. It was an opportunity to strengthen ties and look for strategic business collaborations in the years to come."

Deputy General Manager of Rivoli Group Eyewear Division, Bhuwan Bahuguna said: "Throughout the years Rivoli Group has been very selective while choosing its partners and today we have sustainable and strong relationships with those that have been with us since we began. Rivoli Group's philosophy is based on long term mutually beneficial relationships which, combined with the hard work and dedication of our committed team, is the key to our sustainable success today. My personal endeavor is always to look for opportunities to add value to our enduring partnerships."

The convention is an important bi-annual event for Rivoli Group as a considerable share of the fiscal years' optical frame orders are generated at this time. The UAE and GCC currently show lower demand for optical frames in comparison to sunglasses--with predominant sales going to the latter. Consumers are likely to own multiple sunglasses, due to the weather and fashion trends, but may have only one or two pairs of optical frames.

Supporting 200-strong retail partners with close to 1000 points of sale, Rivoli is one of the largest eyewear distributers in the region. Rivoli Group has been a distributor of eyewear brands since 1989 and has been distributing eyewear regionally since 1997.
