ABU DHABI, U.A.E., Raytheon Company teamed with the Centre of Excellence for Applied Research and Training (CERT) to sponsor the 2010 Technology Forum in support of math and science education.
Held over November 3rd and 4th at the Higher Colleges of Technology campus in Abu Dhabi, the forum brought together current and future military leaders, students, and industry. The event focused on science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
"At its heart, Raytheon is a technology company," said Kevin Massengill, Raytheon vice president of Middle East and North Africa. "Partnering with the CERT, we will provide a forum that enables students and others to better understand how technology and innovation are driving technologies that will be critical to the region in the future."
The 2010 Technology Forum featured briefings on the current and emerging technologies behind directed energy and lasers, infrared and other sensors, intelligence and information systems, air and missile defense, and more. Attendees had the opportunity to experience interactive demonstrations, and view cutting-edge displays.
