In fulfillment of its aspiration to serve the community at large, QIIC has recently introduced two Takaful products namely " Al Safa " & " Al Marwa " , which provide adequate protection and peace of mind to pilgrims of Umra and Haj.
The two products provide - in return for a small premium - insurance cover to the performers of Haj and Umra traveling from anywhere in the world to Saudi Arabia, from the moment of entry to the time of exit from Saudi Arabia. Specifically, the " Al Safa " & " Al Marwa " policies provide :
- death benefits ( equaling the insured sum ) in the event of death of the insured due to any cause, payable to the heirs or any beneficiary named in the policy.
- coverage of medical bills of inpatient and emergency treatments at the best private hospitals in Saudi Arabia.
The two products provide many benefits though the benefits under " Al Marwa " are wider and greater than those under " Al Safa " such as higher death benefits and private room accommodation vs. shared room during inpatient treatment. The two covers have been designed in such a way that the insured can chose the validity period of coverage which ranges between 15 days and 45 days.
