Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates: Abu Dhabi Quality and Conformity Council (QCC), the entity responsible for developing quality infrastructure and raising awareness on quality standards in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, has organized, in collaboration with ZonesCorp, a workshop on “AD Trustmark: Your Journey to Quality”.

The workshop is in line with the objectives of the Abu Dhabi Plan to develop a competitive, sustainable and globally open economy and comes within the framework of QCC’s support for the plan through a comprehensive strategy focusing on the main elements of the quality infrastructure. The workshop highlighted the process and requirements for products certification against standards to ensure conformity of measures specified by both industry and regulators.

The Abu Dhabi Quality and Conformity Council (QCC) has adopted its own Trustmark to indicate that the product conforms to health, safety and environmental standards, or the conformity of the administrative and production systems to the quality requirements of the conformity programs.

The Quality and Conformity Council's market surveillance inspectors actively ensure that the integrity of the Abu Dhabi Trustmark is maintained through continuous market sampling and testing of products displaying the Trustmark.

The Abu Dhabi Quality and Conformity Council was established in 2009 to enable regulatory bodies in Abu Dhabi to raise the quality of exports and products traded locally, and to promote a culture of quality, industrial development, competitiveness and consumer safety by enabling regulators to develop and implement product safety, legal standards and conformity programs. The Abu Dhabi Quality and Conformity Council also sets guidelines and standards to verify that products manufactured and traded in the Emirate conform to the highest standards of safety, quality and conformity.
