Palm Utilities, a subsidiary of Istithmar World PJSC, a major investment holding company incorporated in the Dubai World Group, has recently announced that it has completed new district cooling plants that now serve the Atlantis in Palm Jumeirah Crescent and the Jumeirah Lake Towers. In addition, Palm Utilities revealed that design and construction of three of the six planned district cooling plants in Jumeirah Village South has now commenced.
Initiated by Palm District Cooling (PDC), Palm Utilities' district cooling division, the Palm Jumeirah Crescent district cooling plant deliver a total of 120,000 tonnes of refrigeration (TR) to the Atlantis and to many other distinguished projects on Palm Jumeirah Crescent, while the a total of 140,000 TR is being delivered to the Jumeirah Lake Towers projects. The Company will supply Jumeirah Village South projects with a combined 200,000 TR, with a total of 150,000 TR going to the Jumeirah Village South Circle and 50,000 TR for the Jumeirah Village South Triangle.
