Putting women at the center of care is essential to understand and provide not only their unmet needs but also to sustain and advance their total health and wellness through prevention, early screening and intervention through multidisciplinary approach and proper counseling on lifestyle modification and encouraging adoption of regular health care and healthy practices across lifespan”.

Gynecologist, Sexologist, Dr. Layal Abi Zeid, added, “Being a woman is a chance to live a new experience in every phase of life. The menopause period is one of them that is why the stigma should be eliminated and the menopause considered as a new Period of liberation. The health sector plays a major role here: offering the maximum service to make the sickness easier and have a holistic approach to the medical case not only the chief complaint of the patient.”

On the other hand, Dr. Colette Raidy, Head of the Pharmacy Department at the Ministry of Public Health, added, “Mothers and wives have a direct impact on the psychological and physical well-being of the family, they are the source from which the family draws its strength”. She continued, “Education, Partnership and Empowerment also play a prominent role in this regard and help achieve the desired successful results.”

President of ICF Lebanon Chapter, Executive and Leadership Coach, Mrs. Nadine Zeinoun explained how Creating Equilibrium in families requires a complete mindset shift in both men and women.  The first ingredient to making this shift, is for women to regain their Self-Worth.  Without self-worth, a woman can never empower herself nor empower others around her.
