Dubai, United Arab Emirates - 10 August 2009 - Xerox Corporation, the leading document management technology and services enterprise,  has introduced an advanced multifunctional printer that helps offices of any size increase productivity by reducing the time and cost of handling documents. The new WorkCentre® 4250/4260 multifunction printer delivers high-end printing and copying, color scanning and color fax capabilities in a compact device for an affordable price.

Starting at $2270, the WorkCentre 4250/4260 prints and copies at speeds up to 55 pages per minute, making it one of the fastest desktop multifunction systems available. High-capacity toner cartridges and a toner-saving mode help busy offices reduce running costs and minimize the impact on the environment.

The WorkCentre 4250/4260 is packed with advanced time-saving features typically found on larger departmental devices. Its multitasking capabilities allow multiple workers to print, copy, scan and fax at the same time. The Print Around feature makes sure other print jobs will continue without interruption, saving workers from unnecessary downtime, and Fax Forward automatically routes faxes to an e-mail address, saving time and paper. The seven-inch colour graphical touch screen on the WorkCentre 4250/4260 is simple to use, enabling workers to easily select their tasks directly from the front of the MFP.

"Our customers want office equipment that helps them to increase productivity," said Dan Smith, General Manager for Integrated Marketing, Xerox, MEA (DMO).  "This new product brings some of the technology from our enterprise-level products to the lower end of our portfolio to help businesses of all sizes manage work better and streamline their document management processes."

The WorkCentre 4250/4260's advanced multifunction capabilities include multiple security features for managing sensitive information. For example, Image Overwrite deletes images from the hard drive as soon as a job is completed, while Secure Print and Secure Fax Receive hold documents at the device until a code is entered to release them.

The multifunction printer can tackle a range of everyday office print jobs with a fast 500 MHz processor, paper-saving two-sided printing and flexible paper-handling capabilities - including paper capacity up to 3,100 sheets.

In addition, ID Card Copy saves time when copying both sides of an ID or insurance card onto one side of a page. ID Card Copy is especially helpful in medical and healthcare organizations when adding information to patient files, or for car hire companies and human resources departments when making a copy of a driver's license.

The WorkCentre 4250/4260 supports a range of device management and software tools such as Equitrac Office, Captaris RightFax, X-Solutions ScanFlowStore and a range of SAP solutions.

The device is ENERGY STAR® qualified and part of Xerox's Green World Alliance. The Xerox Green World Alliance is a worldwide initiative to encourage customers large and small to recycle or dispose of supplies in a manner that minimizes impact to the environment.
