Residents welcome improved traffic flow, reduced journey times
Dubai, 11 October 2016
Three new entry/exit points connecting Dubais Jumeirah Village Circle with Hessa Street will open on Wednesday (12 October) following the completion of an AED18.5 million roads improvement scheme by master developer Nakheel.
The work, completed well within its scheduled construction timeline, means easier access, shorter journey times and improved traffic flow at JVC, one of Dubais largest and fastest-growing communities.
A spokesman said: We thank the RTA for its commitment and co-operation in enabling us to complete this work efficiently, effectively and on time. JVC residents and visitors will be delighted with this major enhancement to the community.
Around 25,000 people currently live in JVC, with a predicted population of 300,000 when the 560 hectare master community is fully complete.
The Circle Mall, Nakheels new shopping hub for JVC with 235 shops, restaurants and cafes as well as multi-screen cinema, is under construction while 33 landscaped parks spanning four million sq ft in total are all complete.
Nakheel has delivered more than 700 villas at JVC, with 305 buildings, villas and townhouses by third party developers complete or under construction. A further 183 residential, commercial and hospitality buildings by sub-developers are currently in design stage.
